Funeral Held For John H. Peterson

John H. Peterson, 79, died at the Oneida hospital Sunday, after a short illness.

Funeral services were conducted in the Malad Second ward L.D.S. chapel, Thursday, with Bishop Melvin Yearsley of the St. John ward in charge.

Born August 27, 1872, a son of Peter and Gurine Poulson Peterson, Mr. Peterson spent his life farming and stock raising at St. John near Malad. He was a lifelong member of the L.D.S. church. On January 9, 1896, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple, he was married to Hannah Jones of Cherry Creek, Oneida county. Mrs. Peterson died November 26, 1926.

Survivors include a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Oscar Larson and Woodrow W. Peterson of Charleston, South Carolina, and eight grandchildren.
