Services Thursday For John M. Price

Funeral services for John Morse Price, 78, who died 1 a.m. Monday [Nov. 16, 1964] at the Oneida Hospital of a heart ailment will be conducted 1 p.m., Thursday in the Samaria LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Carl A. Evans officiating.

Mr. Price was born November 1, 1886, at Samaria, Idaho, a son of John Evan and Emma Morse Price. He married Ruth Williams February 9, 1907, at Malad City. The marriage was solemnized May 9, 1929 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Price died March 6, 1964.

After receiving his education in the Samaria schools, he made his living at farming and was an employee of the Oneida County roads department for 19 years until his retirement in May, 1956. He was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include four sons and nine daughters: Cleo W., Truckee, Calif.[California]; Jerry D., Bountiful; John W. and Bill W., both Malad; Mrs. R. T. (Verda) Varga, Tucson, Ariz.[Arizona]; Mrs. William (Ruth) Powell, Clifton, Idaho; Mrs. Cliff (Pearl) Sterrett, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Oral (Mary) Beh*nin, Lodi, Calif.[California]; Mrs. Eddie (Lucille) Leavitt, Rigby, Idaho; Mrs. Lamont H. (Alta) Knudson, Granger; Mrs. Ralph (Faye) Parker, Sandy; Mrs. Royce (Ann) Griffith, Newport Beach, Calif.[California]; Mrs. Khalil Scott, Pleasant View; 54 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters; William M. Malad; Daniel M., Provo; Mrs. Royal J. (Ruth) Sorenson, Mrs. Samuel (Margaret) Hatch, Salt Lake City; Evan M., Mrs. Lewis (Emma) Waldron, Mrs. Carl A. (Edith) Evans, Samaria; Mrs. Harris (Esther) Shumway, Blanding.

Friends may call at the Bill Price home, 395 North 400 West, Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to service. Burial will be in the Samaria Cemetery directed by Benson Funeral Home.
