JIAMMIA NEAL SCOTT

Jiammia Neal Scott, 90, long-time Stone, Idaho, resident and wife of the later Walter A. Scott, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005.

She was born November 28, 1914, in Delmore (Stone) Idaho, a daughter of William Job and Marla Bradshaw Neal. She grew up and was educated in Stone and other than a short time in Oregon and Utah, had lived there all her life.

She married Walter Albert Scott on March 22, 1933, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. For many years Jiammia helped her husband on the farm while also raising her family of seven children. Walter passed away on September 26, 1996.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in various callings through the years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and especially loved caring for and spending time with her family.

Jiammia is survived by her children: W. Neal ( Annette) Scott of Idaho Falls; Brent Scott, Lenna Roe and Karen Cutler, all of Stone; Myrna Stokes of Plymouth, Utah; Eunice (Francisco) Robles of Pocatello; 37 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, and George (Peggy) Neal of Stone. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, a daughter, Janice Durfee, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 18, at noon in the Curlew LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville, Utah, with grandson, Bishop Dennis Roe officiating. Burial will follow in the Snowville Cemetery.
