JENNIE THOMAS DIES SUNDAY
Jennie Letha Knudson Thomas, 71, Ogden, died May 31, 1981 following an extended illness. She was born November 16, 1909 in Deweyville, Utah, to Louis Peter and Barbara Ellen Germer Knudson. On December 9, 1932 she married Herbert D. Thomas in the Logan LDS Temple. He died June 5, 1978.
She was reared and educated in Portage. She had lived in Tremonton and Malad before moving to Ogden in 1943. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Ogden Lorin Farr and 56th Wards for many years. She had served as a Primary teacher and Relief Society visiting teacher and in the Primary and Relief Society Presidency. She had been employed by L.R. Samuels and J.C. Penney Co. and the Bon Marche before retiring in 1977.
Surviving are one son and three daughters: L. Brent Thomas, Bountiful; Mrs. Gary (Marilyn) Newman, Roy, UT; and Mrs. Boyd (Cheryl) Egans of Eden, UT. She had eighteen grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers and one sister, Leland L. Knudson, Salt Lake City; Asael G. Knudson, Idaho Falls; Lyle G. Knudson, Blackfoot; Eldon H. Knudson, Roy, UT; William O. Knudson, Uintah, UT; and Mrs. Joe (Ida) Dalton of Pocatello.
Funeral services were held June 3 at the Lundquist Colonial Chapel in Ogden. Burial was in the Tremonton Cemetery.
