JAMES L. JONES

Memorial services for James L. Jones, 64, who died March 27 (1955) at home, were conducted Thursday, March 31, at 1 p.m. in the Third ward chapel.
Prayer at the family home was offered by James Madsen. At the church, Bishop Hubert Gleed presided. Dr. O. H. Mabey offered the invocation; H. O. Kent, the benediction. The obituary was read by Neal Crowther; remarks, Bishop Gleed. Speakers were D. L. Stone of Logan and W. W. Thomas. Musical numbers were a vocal solo by J. Guy Gleed, accompanied by Diane Gleed; a vocal duet by Lyle Deschamps and Pearl Monson, accompanied by Winnifred Alldaffer; and a vocal solo by Jenkin Jones, accompanied by Mrs. Alldaffer, who also played the prelude and postlude music. The dedicatory prayer was offered by D. Dredge Thomas.

FUNERAL TODAY FOR JAMES L. JONES

James Lusk Jones, 64, Malad, died Sunday at his home in Malad following a lingering illness.
Mr. Jones was born at Malad August 9, 1890, a son of William E. and Lucretia Lusk Jones. Reared and educated at Malad, he was married to Elizabeth S. Bake, September 2, 1914 at Ogden. A miller and farmer by occupation, Mr. Jones was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge. He served as a trustee of the Dairy Creek school district for six years.
Surviving are his widow, Malad; a son, Frayne B. Jones, Malad; a daughter, Mrs. Boyd (Edith) Thomas, Malad; seven grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Brenice(sic) Leigh, Malad; Mrs. Lucretia Peck, Ogden; Alf Jones, Mrs. Bertha Jones, Mrs. William H. (Olive) Clark, Hugh L. Jones, Parry L. Jones, Mrs. Jess L. (Delilah) Ward, all of Malad.
Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at the Malad Third ward with Bishop Hubert Gleed in charge. Interment will be at the Malad City Cemetery.
