Isaac Parry Jones

Jones, Isaac P. March 26, 1964. Pocatello. Isaac Parry Jones, 88, 453 North Eleventh, died late Sunday in St. Anthony Hospital after an illness which resulted from a fall in his home.

He was born Oct. 16, 1875 in Salt Lake City, a son of Amos and Leah Parry Jones. In 1876 the family moved to Malad and he lived there until 1893 when he moved to Mercur, Utah. He worked in the mines there until 1897.

He returned to Malad, was graduated from the Presbyterian school and taught school in Malad for three years. From 1903 to 1917 he owned a shearing corral in Malad.

He married Ethel Evans in 1908 in Malad. She preceded him in death in 1925. In 1935 he came to Pocatello and from 1937 until 1944 operated the Blue Bell station on North Fifth.

Mr. Jones was an elder in the Fourteenth Ward, LDS Church.

Surviving are two sons, Jack E. and Amos Jones, Pocatello; two daughters, Mrs. George (Vera Betty) Bangerter, Burien, Wash.; Mrs. Tony (Kathryn) Davis, Pocatello; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Evans, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Leah Hill, Nucla, Colo.: Mrs. Rose Lowry, Malad.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the 14th LDS Ward at Pocatello.

Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
