BERTHA WILLIAMS JONES

Mrs. Bertha Williams Jones, age 85, died Tuesday (July 17) of natural causes in St. Anthony Hospital, Pocatello.

Funeral services are scheduled here Saturday at 11 a.m. in Malad First LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Myron Jones Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Jones was born March 4, 1888, at Malad, a daughter of William E. and Martha Lucretia Lusk Jones. She was married to Edwin Williams Sept. 6, 1911, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced and she took back her maiden name. She received her education in Malad schools and was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors are a son and four daughters, Lester Williams, Mrs. Ludvig (Tella) Nielsen, both of Pocatello; Mrs. George (Lilliam) Goodenough, McCammon; Mrs. Homer (Alice) Reeder, Glendate, Calif.; Mrs. Edward D. (Rayda Mae) Friffee, Fountain Valley, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jess L. (Delila) Ward, Malad. An infant daughter, Alta Williams, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Friday evening until 9 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Burial at Malad City Cemetery will be directed by Benson Funeral Home.
