BARNEY T. JONES

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1’oclock in the Reorganized L.D.S. church for Barney T. Jones, 59, who died Thursday morning (May 4, 1950) at the Oneida hospital after a lingering illness.

Mr. Jones was born at Malad, Sept. 9, 1890, the son of Barney P. and Sara Cordelia Thomas Jones. He was married to Amelia M. Hanson in October, 1915, at Malad. Their son and daughter are Mrs. Theda Jones, Lamoni, Iowa and Jerry Jones, Malad. Other survivors are his widow, one granddaughter, his father, Barney P. Jones; one brother, Milton T. Jones; four sisters, Miss Evelyn Jones, Mrs. Mollie Lewis, Malad; Mrs. Sarah Booker and Mrs. Sylvia Herbert, Ogden.

A farmer and sheepman, Mr. Jones was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Reorganized LDS church.

Funeral services for Barney T. Jones, 59, who died May 4, were held Sunday at the Reorganized L. D. S. church.

The prelude and postlude were played by Eliza Ward. R. L. Ralston, member of the Seventies, from Salt Lake City, delivered the funeral sermon and benediction and Elder A. H. Yale of Ogden gave the invocation and the obituary. The musical numbers were a solo by Mrs. George H. Jones accompanied by Pauline Atkinson; duet, R. F. Ralston and A. H. Yale accompanied by Mrs. Yale.

R. F. Ralston gave a scripture at the graveside and A. H. Yale dedicated the grave.
