Funeral Services for Isaac Evans who died suddenly Friday night were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Second ward tabernacle with Bishop W.W. Thomas presiding, and Mrs. Cleopha Probst playing the prelude and postlude. Bishop Junius Crowther offered the prayer at the house. LeGrande Horsley gave the invocation and Patriarch W.H. Richards gave the benediction.

Isaac Evans, the son of Benjamin and Mary Evans, was born February 28, 1865 in Glamorganshire, South Wales. There were eleven members of the Vans family. His mother, Mary Evans, was born February 1, 1843 at Llanfynydd, South Wales. His father, Benjamin Evans was born July 19, 1842 at Swansea Glamorganshire, South Wales.

Isaac, with his mother and three other small children came to America from Wales when Isaac was only seven years old, in the year 1872. He came to Malad in 1873. On October 30, 1892 he and Annie W. Jones, daughter of James E. and Anne W. Jones, were married at Malad by Judge Lewis.

Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters: Mary Ellen E. VanCott, Salt Lake; Daisy M. Evans and James W.J. Evans, Malad; Mrs. Gwenfread E. Jenson, Montpelier; and Mrs. Edyth Peck, San Francisco, CA. Also four grandchildren and three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Margaret Nicholas, Mrs. Annie Hill, Elkhorn, ID; Mrs. Mary Sievert, Denver, CO; and Benjamin W. Evans of Malad survive.
