Ida Mary Whitman, (1923)

WHITMAN, IDA MARY, January 17, 1923 – March 25, 2004

Ida Mary Whitman was born January 17, 1923 to Clara and Edward Eutsler in Manville, Wyoming. She died March 25, 2004 after a lengthy illness.

She married Richard O. Whitman in 1947 and resided in Wyoming most of her life. Following her husband’s death in 1955 she moved to Malad, Idaho. Her life was spent working as a cook, managing a Laundromat, cleaning homes and caring for her family and others.

She loved serving in her church. She was known for always having a car full of children when she arrived for Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard O. Whitman and her son, Edward C. Whitman.

She is survived by her daughter, Velma, and son-in-law, Dale Palmer, North Bend, Oregon; daughter, Monica and son-in-law, Tom Harding, Malad, Idaho; son, Tony and daughter-in-law, Molly Whitman, Pocatello, ID; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were in Malad on April 17 at the Victory Baptist Church.
