SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR HERBERT THOMAS

Herbert Dredge Thomas, 78, of Ogden died Monday, June 5, 1978 at the McKay Dee Hospital. He was born May 5, 1900 in Malad, a son of David Sparrey and Alice Dredge Thomas.

He married Jenny Knudsen on December 9, 1932 in the Logan Temple. He had been a printer for the Bear River Valley Leader, Tremonton, worked at General Mills, Ogden, for 20 years and also as a crossing guard for the Ogden City School System and ZCMI.

He was educated in Malad Schools. He was a High Priest in the Lorin Farr Ward. He served in MIA, Sunday School, Boy Scouts and was secretary of the Seventies.

Survivng are his wife of Ogden, one son: L. Brnet Thomas of Salt lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Don V. (Janice) Henniger, Riverdale; Mrs. Gary L. (Marilyn) Newman of Roy; Mrs. Boyd D. (Cheryl) Egan of Eden; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Bergman of Idaho Falls.

Funeral services were held at Lindquist & Sons Colonia Chapel.
