HENRY W. THOMAS DIED MAY 8TH

Henry W. Thomas, age 81, died May 8, 1978 in the Oneida County Hospital of a short illness.

He ws born April 19, 1896 at Malad City, a son of David M. and Sarah Jane Williams Thomas. He married Sara Belle Thomas on May 1, 1918 at Malad City.

He was employed at the First Bank & Trust of Malad for 17 years and was United States Postmaster in Malad City for 32 years; he retired in 1967.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the LDS Church, member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and the AF&AM Lodge of Malad City.

Survivors include his widow of Malad City; two sons, Earl H. Thomas, Foster City, CA; D. Blair Thomas, Salt lake City; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters: William W. Thomas, Bountiful, UT; LeRoy W. Thomas, Pocatello; David W. Thomas and Mrs. Sylvia Stratton, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ives (Thyra) Taylor, Ogden, UT.

Funeral services were held in the Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Darrell Swartz officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
