HENRY J. THOMAS DIES WEDNESDAY

Mr. Thomas was born at Samaria, Idaho, March 16, 1882, a son of William R. Thomas and Eleanor John Thomas. He was married to Mary Ann Jenkins April 24, 1907 and eleven children, nine of whom survived, were born to them. A farmer most of his adult life, Mr. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Malad Valley and a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors included the following sons and daughters: Lloyd J. and Henry LaMar, Dillon, MT; Vida Bedell, Rachel Marshall, Twila Silvester, all of Ogden; Kenneth J., Avon, MT; Dorothy Williams, Grace T. Thomas and O Leah Thomas, all of Idaho Falls; four brothers, William R. Thomas, Midvale, UT; A.E. Thomas, Salt lake City; Ed J. Thomas, Montpelier, ID; Alvin J. Thomas, Samaria; one sister, Ellen Williams, Samaria, and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Henry J. Thomas, 68, who died Wednesday at the Oneida Hospital were held Saturday at the Samaria church house with Counselor Llewellyn Williams . The prayer at the home was offered by Wm. J. Williams, the invocation by Dan Price and the benediction by S.L. Price. The postlude and prelude were played by Jessie John.

The speakers were Sam Williams, J.M. Isaacson, Jas. H. Williams. The obituary was by Byril Thomas. Musical numbers were selections by Singing Mothers; trumpet trio, DeVar Moon, Doyle Gleed and Irene Hughes accompanied by Jackie Tovey; vocal duet, Doyle Cuter and sister accompanied by Mae Williams; vocal duet, Marguerite and Howell Williams accompanied by Mae Williams; solo, Don Williams, accompanied by Wesley Crowther.
