Henry Gourley Anderson – 13 Feb 1873

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Second ward chapel for Henry Gourley Anderson, 80, who died Tuesday (18 Jan 1954) at Salmon.

Interment will be in the Malad City Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Lurline James Thursday evening and Friday until time of services.

Mr. Anderson was born February 13, 1873 at Wanship, Summitt County, Utah, a son of Archibald King and Hannah Acomb Anderson. He came to Malad when a young man and engaged in the sheep business. On January 8, 1902 he married Elizabeth Evans at Malad and in 1910 they moved to Tendoy, Idaho where they engaged in ranching and cattle raising. A few years ago he retired and moved to Salmon City.

Surviving are his widow of Salmon; one son and two daughters, Kenneth Anderson and Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Pitzer of Tendoy, Idaho; Mrs John (Margaret) Rand of Salmon, Idaho; one grandchild and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Lorenzo Anderson, Malad, and Silas L. Anderson, Samaria.

Funeral Held For Henry G. Anderson

Funeral services for Henry G. Anderson, who died Jan. 18, 1954 at Salmon, Idaho, were held Friday afternoon at the Malad Second ward LDS Chapel.

Bishop A. G. Willie presided and gave the obituary. Elvoid Gibbs offered the prayer at the home; Norman W. Crowther gave the invocation; G. A. Stocking, benediction , and J. Guy Benson dedicated the grave. W. W. Thomas was the speaker. Musical numbers were furnished by Helen E. Jones, Louis Yearsley and S. M. Powell who played the prelude and postlude music.
