Mrs. Sasser Dies Tuesday at Pingree

Mrs. Helena M. Sasser, 71, Pingree, Idaho, died Tuesday in Pocatello hospital of a heart ailment and pneumonia.

She was born May 25, 1885 at Kaufungen, Germany, a daughter of Robert G. and Ernstine S. Michaelis, She was married to Luther B. Sasser Sept. 19, 1906, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple.

Mrs. Sasser was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was active in the Primary, served as Relief Society president of the Holbrook ward for several years and was serving on the Pingree Ward Genealogical Committee at the time of her death.

Surviving are her husband, nine sons and daughters: Nellie Gleed and Ethel Hawkins, Malad; Robert Sasser, Luther Blain Sasser Jr., Milton Sasser, Delone Sasser, Pingree; Fern Williams, Beaver, Utah; Beth Valentine, Downey, Ida., Delphia Heer, Pocatello; Four brothers, Walter Michaelis, Logan; Harry Michaelis, Santa Maria, Calif.; Oswald Michaelis, Ogden, and Arthur Michaelis, Garland, Utah. 36 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Thomas Ward Chapel Friday, Dec. 14, at 12:00 noon with Bishop Lorenzo Caldwell of the Pingree ward officiating. Burial will be in the Garland, Utah cemetery.

Friends may call at the family residence in Pingree, Idaho Tuesday evening and Friday until time of service.
