Helen Crane, 76, passed away Sunday, March 5, 1995, in a local medical center in Pocatello.

She was born March 8, 1918, in Rockland, Idaho, the 10th of 11 children born to James Harvey and Mary Hackman-Lackman Anderson. She had rheumatic fever as a young child. She enjoyed the horses on the family ranch. She was a substitute teacher in Rockland.

On Oct. 22, 1938, she married Wendall Hiatt Crane of American Falls, Idaho. They were married for 53 years before Wendall passed away in February 1992.

Helen was a longtime employee of J.J. Newberry. She retired from there in the early 70’s. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. She liked camping, fishing, canning, crocheting, and bowling. She loved to go to Jackpot with her sister and visiting brother.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Niel (Elaine) Larsen of Pingree, Mrs. Danny (Rae) Kiggens, of Pocatello, Vera Marie Crane of McCammon; two sons, Weldon Crane of Houston, Texas, and Arlen Dennis Crane of McCammon; one sister, Lauretta Coffman, of League City, Texas; one brother, Wayne Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 1995, at 10 a.m. In the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 9, from 7p.m. To 9 p.m., at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., and on Friday for one hour prior the services. Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery, Inkom, Idaho.
