SAN JOSE, Calif. – Hazel Woodland Davis, 74, San Jose, a former Malad resident, died Monday (21 Jan 1985) in San Jose.

She was born April 10, 1910, in Brigham City, Utah to Daniel P. and Blanche Hatch Woodland. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Malad where she was reared and educated. She was a graduate of Malad High School.

She later attended the Utah State Agriculture College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught in the Arimo Elementary School.

She married Lorenzo Davis June 16, 1932, in Logan, Utah.

She was a member of the LDS Church and also a member of Order of the Eastern Star. For the past several years, she resided in California.

She is survived by two sons, Richard and Robert, both of San Jose; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Catherine) Huxford, Monmouth, Ore.; one brother, David Woodland, Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Nita Welsh, LaCanada, Calif.; Ann Laura Harris, Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at noon in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad where friends may call Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
