EVANS, HAZEL REBECCA PHILLIPS, March 28, 1913 – December 29, 1985

Hazel Rebecca Phillips Evans, 71, resident of Pocatello, died at her home following an illness, December 29, 1985.

She was born at Downey to Daniel J. and Rebecca Ware Phillips, March 28, 1913. She attended school in Downey, graduating from Downey High School.

She and Lynn A. Evans were married at Malad on November 28, 1929. She worked as a sales clerk at the Modern Deb, Paris and Montgomery Ward until her eyesight failed. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include her husband, Pocatello; a son, Lynn Ray Evans, San Diego, CA; two daughters, Bonnie Jean Evans, San Anotnio, TX; and Mrs. Michael (Joan) Selders, Lewiston; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Lucy J. Lawson, Oakland, CA; a brother, John E. Phillips, Arco; and a niece, Marie Neal of Malad.

Funeral services were conducted January 2 at the Henderson Funeral Home with former Bishop Nathan Hill officiating.
