FUNERAL MONDAY FOR MRS. MORGAN TOVEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Gwenfred Jones Tovey, 67, who died January 27, 1966 at the Oneida Hospital after a long illness were held Monday at the Malad Second LDS ward chapel with the Rev. Gale V. Ludwig officiating.

Services at the chapel included call to worship, invocation, obituary, reading from Psalter, New Testament reading, sermon, prayer, benediction, Rev. Gale V. Ludwig; two vocal solos, Helen E. Jones and Jenkin L. Palmer; organist and accompanists, Myra Jean John and Cherryl Budge.

Sunday at 5 p.m. the Order of Eastern Star funeral service was held with the following taking part: Mesdames Fay Thomas, Margaret Evans, Clara Bush, Gladys Jones, Evelyn Davis, Mary Matthews, Dorothy Lewis.

Casket bearers were Lester Tovey, Terrell Tovey, Arthur Paulson, Walker Rich, Jr., Keith Tovey and William Byrd.

Mrs. Tovey was born March 20, 1898 at Gwenford, Oneida County, to John E. and Winnifred Jones Jones.

She married Morgan W. Tovey August 30, 1922 at Pocatello.

Mrs. Tovey attended University of Utah two years and was a graduate of the University of California in 1921.

She was member of the Presbyterian Church and Past Worthy Matron in the Order of Eastern Star Acacia Chapter.

Survivors include her husband, Malad; three sons and two daughters, Morgan W. Tovey, Jr., Pocatello; John D. Tovey, Malad; Roger D. Tovey, Walnut Creek, CA; Mrs. Cecil (Winnifred) Alldaffer, Soda Springs, and Mrs. Charles (Mary Sue) Borden, Shoshone; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Charles E. (Eliza) Young, Glendale, CA. One son, Daniel Cleve, preceded her in death.

The five living children are graduates of the University of Idaho.

The funeral was under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
