GRANT C. STANGER

IDAHO FALLS – Grant C. Stanger, 36, of Idaho Falls passed away Sunday at the home of his parents following years of illness. He was born April 22, 1964 at Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Lynn Dennis and Sharon Madelon Barker Stranger.

Grant had also lived in Inkom and Pocatello.

He was educated at Inkom and Marsh Valley Schools and attended ISU Vo-Tech.

Grant was one of three people in the State of Idaho invited to attend President Clinton’s inauguration and brunch, honoring people who had worked to make life better for disabled people. He was also an honorary forest ranger and received the “Most Improved Student” Scholarship, when he graduated from Marsh Valley High School.

He loved his family, fishing and stuffed bears.

Grant is survived by his parents of Idaho Falls; a foster brother, Alan C. Gayhart and an adopted brother, Steven Stanger; sisters Shari Lyn Barnes, Downey, Idaho; Stacey Ann Humphreys, Pocatello, Idaho; Carrie Jo Adamson, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Carmen Kay Beard, Toole, Utah, also grandparents Gladys Call, Bancroft, Idaho; grant C. Stanger, Pocatello, Idaho, also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, two grandfathers and a niece.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home, Soda Springs.
