MALAD – Grace Colton Hill, 79, of Malad, died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at her home following a sudden illness.

She was born April 3, 1915, in Malad, a daughter of Morgan J. and Sarah Amelia Thorpe Colton. She grew up and was educated in Malad. On March 21, 1934, she married John Hill in Preston, Idaho.

For many years they had farmed and ranched in the Daniels area, and in later years had moved to Malad. Mr. Hill died Feb. 9, 1985.

She was a member of the LDS Church, and had served as a visiting teacher. She had also been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Daniels Birthday Club, the Kith Club and the Malad Bowling League.

Survivors include one son and his wife John C. and Lugene Hill, of Malad; two daughters and husbands Ethel and Veryl Nessen of Howell, Utah, and Da Neil and Edward (Ted) Loveday of Pocatello; one son-in-law, Paul Wittman, of Pocatello, and one daughter-in-law, Sandy Hill, of Pocatello; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom Colton, of Malad; two sisters Beth Davis and Ardyth Toland, both of Malad. She was preceded in death by husband, John, two children, Marlene H Wittman and Lamont (Monte) Hill, and three sisters, Josephine Allen, Amelia Mae Felix and Merle John.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 1994, at noon in the Malad LDS Third Ward, 400 N. 200 W. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
