MALAD — John Harvey Hobson, 36, of Malad, died Wednesday at his home of a heart attack.
Mr. Hobson was born Sept. 28, 1926, in Oxford, Idaho, a son of John Reynold and Rosella Johnson Hobson. The family came to Malad when he was 6 years old. He was educated in Malad.
He was married to DeLores Larsen on Nov. 23, 1946, in Malad.
He was president of the Cache Valley Breeders Association, Oneida Branch, and president of the Oneida County Wool Growers Association. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Kelly and Kirby Hobson, all of Malad; his mother of Malad, three brothers, D. Robert Hobson, Malad; Alton J. Hobson, Pocatello; Phil Hobson, Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Clayne (Lorraine) Thomas and Mrs. Dewayne (Leah) Madsen, Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Max King officiating. Friends may call at 65 W. 300 N. tonight and Saturday prior to services. Burial in Malad City Cemetery, directed by Benson Funeral Home.
