GRACE B. THOMAS

Grace Bluemel Thomas, 82, Samaria, died April 17, 1983 at the home of her daughter, Grace Stone, in Cedar City, UT.

She was born Nov. 2, 1900 in Logan, UT to Oswald Carl and Emma Jane Burton Bluemel.

She was a graduate of the Utah State University. For several years she had been an elementary school teacher.

She married Alvin John Thomas Oct. 23, 1925 in Logan, UT. He died Dec. 17, 1977. She had lived in Samaria the past 42 years.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and worked in the Relief Society and genealogy program. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by a son, Raymond Burton Thomas, Dallas, OR; a daughter, Mrs. David (Grace) Stone, Cedar City, UT; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday in the Samaria LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Logan City Cemetery.
