Glenn Myron Tanner

Glenn Myron Tanner, born February 13, 1928 in Hillspring, Alberta, Canada, to John Sydney and Amy Irene Hammer Tanner. He passed away at home on March 27, 1992 of heart and diabetic complications. He was a Navy veteran, Utah State University graduate, with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; serving a mission in the Eastern States; Temple worker in the Denver and Las Vegas Temple. Member of the Seventies and High Priest Groups of the Denver West Stake, Boulder Colorado Stake, and Las Vegas Warm Springs Stake. He was a Stake Mission President and currently was the Sunday School President.

He began working at Sperry Rand in Point Magu, California. They lived in Salt Lake City and Bountiful where he worked at Sperry Utah. He then moved to Boulder, Colorado where he worked for Ball Brothers, later spending some years at Martin Marietta in Denver. After Glens retirement, the family recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. His love of working with young people occupied 25 years of service with the Thunderbird Little League Baseball program. He was a counselor and helped numerous boys become Eagle Scouts.

He is survived by his wife Helen, Las Vegas; four sons and one daughter, Stephen, Golden, Colorado; Jon, Galena, Alaska; Jedd, Denver, Colorado; Amiee, Louisville, Colorado and Robert, Las Vegas, Nevada. Three grandchildren, Morgan and Jonathan, Golden, Colorado; Jeffery, Galena, Alaska. Four brothers, John, Magna, Utah; Lyle, Exeter, California; Grant, Lake Elsinore, California; George, Provo, Utah. One sister, Marjorie Gillespie of Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada, who passed away March 28, 1992. He was preceded in death by one sister Lenore of Milford, Utah and one brother LaVoir of Coalville, Utah.

Funeral services will be held in Las Vegas on Thursday April 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bermuda Ward Chapel, 7670 S. Bruce Street, Bunker Mortuary in charge. Graveside services will be at the Portage, Utah Cemetery on Saturday April 4, at 11:00 a.m.
