ELEINE ELENORA “MARMIE” LARSON TANNER
After battling a long illness over many years, our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed quietly from this world at her home on Monday, August 28, 2000.

Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Malad, Idaho, to Selma Marie Grell and John Helmfred Larson, the second oldest of nine.

She married Marvin Tanner on March 27, 1935 in Salt Lake City. She became his eternal companion on December 17, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She and Marvin lived and worked in Sunnyside, Utah. Where they were the morale of the town and lead the war bond drives. She worked in the food service business and was well known at the Lion House. She loved beautiful things and has left a legacy of embroidery rugs and watercolors for her loved ones.

Her family was her greatest joy. She spent as much time as possible with them sharing their accomplishments in music, sports and life. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husband, Marvin, and one granddaughter, Carolyn.

She is survived by three sisters. Genevieve Peterson, Doris Mccomie and Laurine Stokes; three brothers, Carl, Everett and Tony. She leaves behind three children Lloyd Marvin (Mary) Tanner, West Valley, Lynne (Daryl) Beardall, Santa Rosa, CA, Marva (Ralph) Fisher, Salt Lake City and one honorary daughter Elonda (Bob) Doughton. She has 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The most special, the Martins and the Fishers, who, with the help of others, such as CNS, especially Carolyn Murdock, devotedly aided Marmie in her wish to be at home.

Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
