PRESTON – Elva Lorain Taylor Barrington Tanner, 85, died July 6, 1982 at Franklin County Hospital in Preston.

She was born Dec. 4, 1896 in Preston to John Harris and Oliane Olsen Taylor. She married Lewis Aaron Barrington April 3, 1918 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died July 30,l 1965. She married Joseph Spiers Tanner Nov. 10, 1971 in Logan. He died in July, 1974. She was an organist, officer and teacher in all the organizations.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Luwayne Barrington, Preston; Ross Taylor Barrington, Riverdale; and Mrs. Carl (Lenna) Christensen, Mink Creek; 12 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Bander Meyden, Salt Lake.

Funeral services will be Saturday in the Riverdale Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Jean J. Smith. Burial will be in the Riverdale Cemetery.
