George L. Richards Dies Here Tuesday

George Llewellyn Richards, 65, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 23, 1965 at the Oneida Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Richards was born March 13, 1896 at Malad, a son of George L. and Sarah Ann Jenkins Richards.

He was a life long resident of Oneida County and was engaged in farming.

He is survived by two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Vernal Gehring, Mrs. Elizabeth Argel, Ralph Richards, Charles Richards and Clifford Richards.

Funeral services are pending arrival of family members.

SERVICES HELD FOR GEORGE L. RICHARDS

Funeral services for George L.[Llewellyn] Richards, [Jr.] 69, who died at the Oneida Hospital Tuesday [November 23, 1965] after a brief illness, were held Friday, November 26, 1965, at the 2nd LDS Ward Chapel with counselor Ben W. Call officiating.

Family prayer at the Funeral Home was offered by Stillman Harris and at the chapel the services included organ prelude and postlude, Myra Jean John; invocation, William O. Howard; vocal, Jenkin L. Palmer; obituary, Ben W. Call; vocal, Wanda Napier and Opal Peck; speaker, Bishop W. W. Thomas; vocal, Jenkin L. Palmer, and benediction, Lynn Alder. Accompanist was Myra Jean John. Concluding rites were at the Malad City Cemetery, where Raiford Benson offered the dedicatory prayer. Military Rites and Honor Guard were conducted by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post, 65. Flowers were carried by the Second Ward Relief Society.

Casket bearers were Sam Thomas, Ralph Tovey, Bud Richards, Burton Napier, Dalam Kent and J. A. Asay.
