George Daniels Sr. dies in Malad

George Daniels Sr., Oneida County’s oldest resident died Sunday, Jan. 15,1978, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

Mr. Daniels was born July 23, 1875, in Malad, a son of Thomas and Jeannett Thomas Dives Daniels.

He was married to Mary May Bolingbroke on Jan. 27, 1897, in Malad. She died Aug. 22, 1921. He was married to Emeline Mecham Evans on Nov. 8, 1927, in Malad. She died Feb. 7, 1963.

He was a farmer in the Daniels and Pauline areas. He had been a school trustee.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are two sons and four daughters, George Daniels Jr., Malad; Lorin B. Daniels, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence (Estella Jones) Budge, Malad; Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Thomson, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Walter (Merle) Hughes, Blackfoot, Idaho; Mrs. George (Orlean) Treasure, Downey, Idaho.

Also surviving are five step sons and two stepdaughters, Thomas Evans, Pingree, Idaho; Thain Evans, Blackfoot, Idaho.
