Our loving son, father, brother, uncle, fiancé and friend, Gary Lee Kay, 41, joined his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 16, 2009 from an automobile accident.
He was born on May 27, 1968 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Bennie Lee and Betty Tingey Kay.
Gary married Rona Richardson on March 12, 1993 in Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced. Gary was going to be married on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Stephanie Quiroz in Malad, Idaho.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an active member of the Malad 4th Ward.
Gary worked at Autoliv as a maintenance tech. He loved to shoot guns, fish, hunt, do dutch oven cooking, go four wheeling and taking long rides in his truck. He also liked raising chickens and his two poodles. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, family and friends.
Surviving are his five children: Devon, Amanda, Austin, Aja and Taryn; two stepchildren: Santana and Diego Sandoval; two grandchildren: Kristopher and Sydnee; his parents, Bennie and Betty; three sisters, Darla K. Watters, Darlene K. (Rob) Edmonds and Penny K> Owens, four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leland and Edna Tingey, Calvin and Lacy Kay, one uncle, Arlin Kay.
Gary loved his mom and dad and his family. He always had a tender heart, a warm smile and a giving spirit and was the biggest prankster ever!
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City South Stake Center, 865 South 300 West, Brigham City, Utah.
Interment was in the Brigham City Cemetery.
