Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 1985 at Murphy Mortuary Chapel in Lancaster for Fred Jacob Newhouse of Lancaster, who died Saturday, November 30, 1985 in the Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center at the age of 79.
Conducting the services was the Lancaster Masonic Lodge 437 F and AM.
Interment was in the Lancaster District Cemetery with Murphy Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Newhouse was born May 23, 1906, in Providence, Utah, and was a retired security guard.
He moved to California from Idaho in 1946. On May 23, 1948 he married the former Toya V. Federoviez in Boise, Idaho. She survives at their home in Lancaster.
Other survivors include five sons: Fred L. Newhouse of Blaine, Washington; Galen Newhouse of Ontario, Oregon; Phillip Sniderman of Corona; Don Fredericks Sr., of Bellflower and Robert Newhouse of Lancaster; two daughters LaQuitta Edmonds of Poughkeepsie, New York; and Nancy Fredricks of Palm Springs; two brothers, Lloyd Newhouse of Arizona and Oliver Newhouse of Washington; his sister, Lula Ward of Wooford Heights; 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren
