Florence Maria Bond Newey

NEWEY, FLORENCE MARIA BOND, September 20, 1913 – April 10, 2008

WASHINGTON TERRACE – Florence Maria Bond Newey, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandma, great-great grandma, sister and friend, passed away on April 10, 2008, surrounded by her family from causes incident to age. She was born on September 20, 1913 in Malad, ID to Fred A. Bond and Clara Elizabeth Monroe-Martin. She married Eugene Newey on January 30, 1932. She is a member of the LDS Church.

Florence worked as a waitress at the W.T. Grant luncheon center where she met many dear ffirnds. She also worked at the Mansion House, Double J Ranch House restaurant and Mattie’s Café in Roy.

She loved her family and was a perfect example for all. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Doris (Floyd) Hess, Paul (Elaine) Newey; Nancy (Roy) Paulsen; and Max D. Newey; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Also surviving are sisters, Margaret Cacich of San Diego, CA; June Souter of Salt Lake City and one brother James Bond of Maggie Valley, NC.
