Freamon Romriell

INKOM – Freamon Lorenzo Romriell, 76, longtime resident of Inkom, died Sunday evening [October 7, 1984] at Pocatello Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 18, 1907, at McCammon, to Walter R. and Mahala Cutler Romriell, and attended schools there through the eighth grade.

He married Leah Popleton Aug. 10, 1935, in Pocatello, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple Nov. 2, 1938.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad Company from 1923 to 1925 and later worked for the Portland Cement Company in Inkom. In 1942, he and his wife purchased a farm in Inkom which they operated until 1968 when he retired.

He enjoyed farming, fishing, and traveling. He was an active member of the LDS Church and had served in various callings including Sunday school superintendent, high priest group leader, home teacher, elders’ quorum president, and served a full-time mission to the Kentucky-Tennessee Mission.

Survivors include his wife, Inkom; four brothers, Lloyd Romriell, Elden Romriell, Earnest Romriell, and Earl Romriell, all of Pocatello; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Pearl) O’Donnell and Mrs. Elwin (Fern) Anderson, both of Pocatello; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Inkom LDS Chapel with Bishop Timothy B. Shaffer of the Portneuf Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel and Thursday one hour prior to services at Inkom. Burial will be in the Nortom Cemetery at McCammon.
