JEROLD ROMRIELL

Jerold Dean Romriell, 58, 3775 Clacton Way, Boise, and former Arimo resident, died Tuesday [August 12, 1988] at the Treasure Valley Manor, following an extended illness.

He was born April 30, 1930 in Logan, Utah, to John Thomas and Inez Iola Waddell Romriell. He attended schools in Cache Valley, then moved with his family to McCammon. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan.

He married Charlotte Hyde in 1952. They later divorced.

He married Doris Girrard, March 15, 1957 in Pocatello. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple May 26, 1976. He lived in McCammon for 11 years prior to moving to Arimo, where he has resided for the past 17 years.

He was a member of the LDS Church, and was an elder in the Arimo Ward.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of Boise; two sons, Larry Jay Romriell, Pocatello, Jon Garth Romriell, Boise; three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Debby) Lish, Soda Springs; Mrs. Randy (Danita) Hackworth and Mrs. Michael (Diana) Swanson, both of Boise; four brothers, Wallace Simons, Boise; Jay Simons, Oakland, Calif.; Francis Simons, McCammon; Glen Romriell, Inkom; four sisters, Mrs. Oran (Jessie) Bosworth, Preston; Mrs. Flueta Wolverton, Nampa; Mrs. Leonard (Leatha) Brinton, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Martel (Viola) Ewing, Smithfield, Utah; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Arimo Stake Center with President Loyal K. Bellon officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Manning Chapel in McCammon, and Saturday for one hour prior to services at the Arimo Stake Center. Burial will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 7075, Bill Murphy, commander.
