GEARING, FRANK E.

A native and former resident of Downey, Frank E. Gehring, 71, died at his home in Hood River, Oregon April 17, 1979 of a heart attack.

He was born march 21, 1908 at Downey, a son of Fredrick August and Charlotte Rumsey Gehring.

He attended Downey schools and has lived in Hood River Valley, Oregon since he was age 15.

He married Jennie Elcock of Malad March 1, 1939 at Provo, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He had been employed at Oregon Lumber Mills.

He is survived by his wife and nieces and nephews.
