EVANS, FLOYD STUBB, July 14, 1908 – August 11, 1986

Floyd Stubb Evans, 78, Moreland, 57 year resident of Pocatello, died Sunday in Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs. He was born July 14, 1908 in Malad to Edward E. and Haphibah Stubbs Evans. He attended school in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. He married Lucy Pierson January 2, 1929 in Malad.

He helped work the family farm until July, 1929 when he moved to Pocatello where he resided until two weeks prior to his death.

He worked for the Pacific Fruit Express for 45 years, retiring in 1973 as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Agers, and Old Timers. He was also a member of the LDS Church.

He enjoyed family outings and in later years enjoyed attending auctions and refinishing furniture.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Floyd Leon Evans, Las Vegas, NV; Ronald Evans, Fremont; CA; one daughter, Mrs. Lanford (Judy) Anderson, Driggs; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Charles S. Evans, Edward S. Evans and Laurence S. Evans; and two sisters, Sarah Lewis and Flossie Evans.

Funeral services were Wednesday at Manning Funeral Chapel with President Lynn Hall officiating. Burial was at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
