Fern J. Condie (Birth – April 4, 1900)

Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) for Fern J. Condie, 59, prominent rancher and stockman of Preston, who died Sunday evening (5 April 1959) of pneumonia.

Mr. Condie is the step-son of Mrs. Ida Condie and brother of Mrs. Arnold Bjorkman, Malad.

He was born at Preston on April 4, 1900, a son of Joseph and Minnie Johnson Condie and moved to Thatcher, Idaho in 1919. He married Lettie Nielsen Dec. 6, 1923, in the Logan LDS Temple, and has lived in Preston since.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son; 14 grandchildren; step-mother, Mrs. Ida Condie, Malad; eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Lila) Bjorkman, Malad; O. J. Condie, Richfield; Mrs. LaVell (Viola) Stokes, Sacramento; Mrs. Dan ( Zetta) Corbett, Grace; Grant Condie, Portland, Oregon; William Condie, Thatcher; Reed Condie, Couer d’Alene; Mrs. Steven (Phyllis) Savel, Woodbridge, New Jersey.

Burial will be at the Preston Cemetery.
