Fern Bullock Read Syzmanski, 21 September 1905

Fern Bullock Read Syzmanski, 90, of Pocatello passed away February 14, 1996 in a local nursing home.

She was born September 21, 1905 in Logan, UT, a daughter of john Henry and Mary Ann Affleck Bullock. She moved to Arbon Valley at the age of 4. She attended school there in a one room school. She attended high school in Pocatello. She supported herself by working at Challenge Creamery.

On August 16, 1927, she married LaGrande Garrange Read in Pocatello. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1969. She later married Walter Syzmanski on May 16, 1972 in Pocatello.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved to do temple work, dancing, cooking, baking and most of all her family. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Walter of Pocatello; two sons, James W. and Viola Read of Pocatello; Dale B. and Helen Read of Ogden, UT; three daughters, Joyce and jack Hatch of Hailey, ID; Donna Gardner of Pocatello and Marva and Jack Hansen of Salt Lake City, UT; two sisters, Margaret Henricks of Pocatello and Dora and Boyd Price of
Reno, NV; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, LaGrande, and two sons, four brothers and four sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be held February 17, 1996 at Mountainview Cemetery.
