Funeral Thursday for Gloma H. Swindle, 58

Funeral services will be conducted at Pleasantview LDS Ward Chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. for Gloma Swindle, age 58, who died Monday of natural causes in Veterans Administration Hospital, Salt Lake City.

Bishop Roger Facer will officiate. Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to service. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery.

Mr. Swindle was born Feb. 25, 1914, at Oklahoma City, a son of Enoch and Lydia Jane Williams Swindle. He married Margaret Isaacson Nov. 3, 1941 at Malad. Mr. Swindle was a farmer, a veteran of World War II, having served in US Army Air Corps, was a member of American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post, No. 65, and of Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are his widow, Malad; three sons, Thomas Martin, Salt Lake City; Richard Lee, Fred Barry, Malad; two daughters, Jetta Joan, Malad; Mrs. Narvey Mae Riggs, Idaho Falls; three grandchildren; a brother, Bart Swindle, Fillmore, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Skelton, Ventura, Calif.

MALAD CITY– Gloma A. Swindle, 58, died Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City.

He was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Enoch and Lydia (Williams) Swindle. He married Margaret Isaacson Nov. 3, 1941, at Malad City.

He was a farmer, and a member of the Eagles Lodge. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps.

He is survived by his wife, of Malad; three sons and two daughters, Thomas M., Salt Lake City, Richard L., Fred B. and Jetta JoAnn, all of Malad City; and Mrs. Narvey (Mae) Riggs, Idaho Falls; three grandchildren, a brother, Bart Swindel, Fillmore, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Skelton, Ventura, Calif.
