ROY — Everett H. Pierce, 76, of Roy, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1992 in Ogden.

He was born April 5, 1916 in St. John, Idaho, a son of John M. and Estella Harris Pierce.

He married Lanetha Bambrough, Feb. 4, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He had lived in St. John, Idaho for 25 years, Ogden for eight years, and Roy for the past 40 years. He graduated from Malad High School and vocational school in Weiser, Idaho.

He was an Elder in the LDS Church and member of the Roy 4th Ward. He had served in several positions including assistant ward clerk, Sunday School superintendant, Cub Scout leader, and home teacher.

He had been a building contractor in Weber County. He was president of the Weber Basin Home Builders Association.

He served as president of the Roy Kiwanis Club and on the Roy Board of Adjustments for 20 years. He was a member of the Weber College Wildcat Club, charter member of the Roy Elks Club, and member of the United Commercial Travelers.

He enjoyed sports, horses, and working in the yard and garden. He also enjoyed his friends and nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of Roy, two brothers and one sister-in-law, John M. (Jack) Pierce, Laie, Hawaii; Garth Pierce and wife Ann, Roy; and Betty Pierce, Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Cleon, and one sister, Lorraine Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Wash. Blvd., with Bishop Duane Child of the Roy 4th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
