Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Curlew LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Evelyn Fergus Neal, age 58, who died Dec. 19th in a Salt Lake City hospital of natural causes.
Burial was in Snowville, Utah Cemetery.
Mrs. Neal was born April 3, 1915 at Snowville, a daughter of William Maughan and Martha Elizabeth Peterson Fergus. She married R. LaVell Neal, June 25, 1932 at Brigham City and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Neal was active in Curlew LDS Ward, serving as Primary president, YWMIA president and as a Sunday School teacher for 25 years.
Surviving are her husband, Stone; daughters: Mrs. Kay E. (Louise) Harris, Mrs. Kay E. (Louise) Harris, Redondo Beach, Calif., Mrs. Dallas R. (Mardean) Connel, Kent, Wash.;’ Mrs. Ronald J. (Shirley) Shelley, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. William E. (Donette) Robinson, Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grandchildren: brothers, sisters: Boyd, Don, all Newberg, Ore., Mrs. Herman (Nola) Barsen, McCammon, Idaho; Mrs. May (Vaudis) Cutler, Portland, Ore..
