Military rites Monday for Eugene Stuart Sr., 43

Military rites were conducted at Malad City Cemetery Monday by the American Legion for Eugene Stuart Sr., 43, Ogden, who died May 17th at his home of a heart ailment.

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning in Ogden and burial was at Malad. Jesse Hughes offered the dedicatory prayer.

Mr. Stuart was born March 5, 1930, at Pleasantview, a son of Daniel W. and Pearl Hughes. He married Norma Jean Allen, Oct. 20, 1951, at Elko, Nevada. A veteran of the Korean War, he was a logistics specialist at Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Mr. Stuart lived in Malad until 1943 when the family moved to Ogden. He was educated in the Ogden schools.

Surviving are his widow; sons and daughters, Eugene Jr., Allen D., Paula Jean, Rebecca L., all of Ogden; mother, Malad; brothers, sisters, Daniel, Mt. Shasta, Cal.; David H., Sunset, Utah; Mrs. Joe (Gwenavere) Ward, Jackson, Wyoming; Mrs. Vernal (Delores) Holley, Wilson, Utah; Mrs. David (BarDee) Southwick, Los Angeles.

Ogden-Eugene Stuart, Sr., 43, Ogden, died May 17 of a heart ailment at home.

Born March 5, 1930, Pleasant View, Idaho, to Daniel W. and Pearl Hughes Stuart. Married Norma Jean Allen Oct 20, 1951, Elko, Nev. Veteran Korean War. Logistics specialist, Hill Air Force specialist, Hill Air Force Base. Member LDS Church.

Funeral Monday 11 a.m., Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel, Ogden, where friends call Sunday 7-9 p.m., Monday prior to service. Burial Malad, Idaho, Cemetery.
