Grace W. Stuart, (1916)

STUART, GRACE W., April 17, 1916 – January 13, 2008

ROY – Grace w. Stuart, 91, returned to our heavenly Father on January 13, 2008 with her family by her side.

She was born April 17, 1916 in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Edward Gleed and Annie Aurelia Williams. She was the middle child of three. Grace was raised in Malad, Idaho. She later moved with her family to Salt Lake City where she attended West high School.

She married George Bartho Stuart on April 21, 1934 in Hollywood, California. They had two daughters, Connie Rae Hendry of Ogden and Teresa Dee DAuray of Roy. George passed away February 19, 1986.

After her marriage she and her husband resided in California, Cedar City, Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, then later moved to the Ogden/Roy area where she resided for the last 47 years.

Grace enjoyed riding horses when she was young. She loved dancing at Saltaire over the waters of the Great Salt Lake to all the big bands of her era. She enjoyed trips to Wendover, growing roses, painting ceramics and cooking for her family whom she loved dearly and who dearly loved her.

She was a feisty red head with a heart of gold, and a brilliant sense of humor. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved the Lord and recently became a Christian.

She is survived by her daughters, three grandchildren, Kevin Thomas of Clinton; Kimberly (Michael) Marble of Ogden; DeeAnn (D.J.) Stichter of Rapid City, South Dakota; seven great grandchildren; Teresa, Erica Jake, Hunter, Kenton, Jacob and Rebecca; two great-great grandchildren Ryan and Bryken, a brother Edward D. Williams of California, nieces and nephews and her Chihuahua, Rhett that never left her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Edna Penny and nephew Chance Rothchild.

Funeral services will be held January 19, 2008 at Myers Roy Mortuary. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
