ETHYL WILLORA GREER RICHARDS

Funeral Monday for Ethyl G. Richards, 71

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Malad LDS Second Ward Chapel for Mrs. Ethyl Willora Greer Richards, age 71, who died Thursday at her home in Ogden of natural causes. Burial was in Malad City Cemetery.

A former Malad resident, Mrs. Richards was born Dec. 18, 1901 at Trade, Tenn., a daughter of Alferd Austin and Alice Sarah Thomas Greer. She married Parley Morgan Richards, March 11, 1920, and the marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 15, 1944. She married Robert Lyle Richards, Dec. 25, 1948, at Ogden. Mrs. Richards was a retired employee of Hill Air Force Base. She had attended Henegar’s Business College, Salt Lake.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Griff R., San Francisco; David G., Post Falls, Idaho; daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Shelia) McElyea, Layton; Mrs. Wesley (Daralene) Jones, Mrs. Lynal (Ethel) Rosenberg, both Ogden; Mrs. Max (Parla) Montgomery, Friday Harbor, Wash.; Mrs. Dennis (Beverly) Staley, Roy, Ut.; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Taul Greer, Roy.

Bishop Welling Zundel officiated at the services. Family prayer was offered by James Madson; Invocation, Hubert Gleed; benediction, Thomas Kendrick. Speaker were Bishop Zundel, Robert Hess and Eva Zundel, Carol Daniels and Lana Esplin sang a duet, and Eldon Corbridge, a solo. Myra Jean John played prelude and postlude music.

Casket bearers were Terrial Staley, Randy Staley, Kerry Jones, Clair Greener, Bart McElyea and Dennis Rosenberg.

Royal neighbors of America, Malad Chapter, cared for the flowers.
