RIVERSIDE – Mrs. Ethel May Ford Richards, 70, of Riverside, Box Elder County, wife of Ralph C. Richards, died Tuesday [April 1956] in the Dee Hospital in Ogden.

Mrs. Richards was a member of the LDS Riverside Ward and had been a Primary teacher and secretary of the Relief Society. She was also a member of the Riverside Birthday Club.

She was born April 13, 1885, in West Weber, a daughter of Joseph and Maggie Cleveland Ford. The family moved to Escalante, and when she was 7 years old they moved to Centerville. She was educated in Centerville and attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.

On Dec. 15, 1909, she was married to Mr. Richards in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. They have since resided in Riverside.

Surviving are her husband, the following sons and daughters: Myron M. Richards, Riverside; Ivan Ford Richards, Salt Lake City; Joel J. Richards, St. George; Ralph Grant Richards, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Carl (Phyllis) Robinson, Afton, Wyo.; Mrs. Nolan R. (Nina) Ballard, Benson, Cache County; 19 grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters: Eugene C. Ford, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Israel Barlow, Vale, Ore.; Rulon Ford, Centerville; Mrs. O. H. Mabey, Malad, Idaho; Mrs. Rebecca Cook and Mrs. James H. Cook, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Harold Palmer and Mrs. Harold Nelson, both of Woods Cross.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the LDS Bear River Stake Tabernacle in Garland, by Bishop Leland Capener of the LDS Riverside Ward.

Friends may call at the family home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until services. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, directed by the Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton.
