ARBON – Ernest Poppie, Arbon, died early Monday [Jan. 9, 1980] in the Power County Hospital at American Falls, following an illness.

He was born April 1, 1896, and was a veteran of World War I.

A son, Frank Johnson, Arbon, survives.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mountainview[sic] Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 735. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time at Manning Funeral Chapel.
