Emma Rosetta Jenkins

Mrs. Jenkins’ Rites will be Friday (23 Apr 1948)
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the L.D.S. First ward church for Mrs. Emma Rosetta Jenkins, 81, who died at her home in Malad Tuesday of ailments incident to old age.
Mrs. Jenkins was born at Malad April 21, 1867, the daughter of Martha Tidwell and John W. Lusk. She was married to Joseph Zeph Jones, May 8, 1885, in the Logan temple. To this union one daughter, Martha, was born. She died December 10, 1931. Mr. Jones died May 24, 1887 and on Feb. 4 1890, his widow was married to William E. Jenkins. Four children were born to them. Mrs. Jenkins was a Malad valley resident her entire life, a member of the L.D.S. church and active in Relief Society work. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died May 17, 1942, and fifteen brothers and sisters.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters; Mrs. Annie ? Williams, Malad; Joseph J. Jenkins, Malad; Wallace L. Jenkins, Rexburg; Mrs. Sylvia Merrick, Malad; one brother, Alma Lusk, Sugar City; one sister Mrs. J.V. Williams, Malad; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren. Mrs. Jenkins had eight grandsons in the armed forces during World War II and a grandson and a great grandson are in the service at the present.
