Funeral Services For Mrs. Jenkins – (no date)
Funeral services were held Sunday at two o’clock in the first ward chapel for Mrs. Joseph W. Jenkins who died at her home Nov. 25th after a long illness. Bishop Thomas ( D.?) Evans presided at the services at which Josiah Price gave the invocation. Speakers were Angus Stocking, Wm. Henderson, J. Peter Jensen and E.E. Richards. Musical Numbers were furnished by Thomas J. Jones, Mrs. Kate Jones and Mrs. Merle Lusk, Morgan and Lester Tovey. W.H. Palmer gave the benediction and the grave was dedicated by Arthur Williams, Sr.
Mrs. Annie F. Jenkins, daughter of Wm. Monroe Jenkins and Alice Terry, was born London Derry, Ireland in 1864. She was married to John L. Morgan in 1883 and came to America in 1885. To this union five children were born of whom three are living, Mrs. Nellie Stocking and Edmund Morgan of Malad, and Mrs. Arthur Empy of Burley.
She joined the L.D.S. Church in 1897 and the following year was married to Joseph W. Jenkins in the Logan Temple. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Ma?ila Nicholas of Malad, Miss Sara??el Jenkins of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Joseph Jenkins of Los Angeles.
