Emma Louise Goerg, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, March 21 . 2014 , at her home of cancer . She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Emma was born Jan. 23 , 1951, in Malad, Idaho , to Reed Westwood Moon and Gloria June Moon.

She grew up and attended schools in Malad and graduated from Malad High School . She also attended Idaho State University.

On Aug. 16, 1985, she married Donald Mark Goerg at the Logan. Utah. LDS Temple. To this union were born three sons: Christopher, Matthew and David. Emma and Donald made their home in Idaho Falls, where Emma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Parkview Hospital. Her favorite and most significant work was raising her children.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, tole painting, crafting and reading.

Emma is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Donald Goerg of Idaho Falls; sons, Christopher Mark Goerg, Matthew Curry Goerg and David Helaman Goerg; brothers, Charles R. Moon, Joseph L. Moon and Eddie Davis Sr.; and sisters, Sylvia R. Moon and Alice 0. Dudley.

She was preceded in death by her father , Reed Westwood Moon; and her mother, Gloria June Davis.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday , March 25 , at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward. 885 S. Boulevard.with Bishop Jay Doman officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30
p.m.to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home , 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday before services at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery .
