Ella Clark Green

GREEN, ELLA CLARK, August 22, 1881 – January 3, 1967

Ella Clark Green, 85, one of McCammon’s early settlers, died in Bannock Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Mrs. Green was born Aug. 22, 1881 in Henderson Creek, Oneida County, a daughter of Charles and Ellen Moon Clark. She married Daniel Green Dec. 3, 1902.

They came to McCammon and homesteaded west of there at Readyville as some of the earliest settlers there in 1903. As a young girl she exercised her father’s race horses and was always a sports enthusiast.

Mrs. Green was active in the Relief Society and Primary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always available for help with the sick.

Mr. Green died May 15, 1962.

Surviving are three sons, Daniel Clark Green and Phil Green, both of Pocatello, and Wendell Green, Helena, MT; three daughters, Mrs. Rulon (Berniece) Teeples, Mrs. Violet Rothwell, and Mrs. Sarah Parrish, all of Pocatello; 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; two brothers, Hugh and Leonard Clark, Malad, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Vaughn, Shelley.

Funeral services will be in the McCammon LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Francis Sievers, LDS 26th Ward, officiating. Burial will be in the McCammon Cemetery.
