Elias Morris Died Wednesday Evening

Funeral services for Elias Morris, age 73, who died Wednesday, March 20, 1946 evening at 6:25 have been tentatively set for Saturday afternoon.

Elias Morris was born November 9, 1872 at Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Hugh C. and Elizabeth D. Morris. When a small boy he cam with his parents to Samaria, Idaho to live.

He was married to Mary Reese, Sept. 5, 1894, and she died September 9, 1936. Their only child, Mrs. Mary Ward, preceded them both in death. Mr. and Mrs. Morris adopted her three children, Kenneth, Barbara and Katherine Ward after her death.

Mr. Morris has been in poor health for the past year and for the past three weeks has been bedfast.

He is widely known throughout this valley as a business man, having worked for many years in the Evans Co-op store, and as a manager of the old O.F.U. store as well as in the Samaria and Gwenford stores. He also was manager of the mercantile store in Sugar City for a number of years.

For the past two years he has been a clerk at the Great Northern Hotel.

He is survived by three grandchildren, Sgt. Kenneth Ward, Kathryn Brown, Price, Utah; and Barbara Richards, Grants Pass, Oregon; three great- grandchildren, one brother, Jim Morris and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Williams, Shelley, Idaho and Mrs. Mable Jones, San Francisco.
